Based off a true event Wouldn't you love to open a door and hear someone say that.

Well this happened to me 2 days ago at work. I opened a door, and there was some person i did reconise who and the first thing they said was what was said above.

It was rather strange.

It means my ancestors were the first to live on canada, before the english and france settlers came to claimed it.

In those times my ancestors were only seen as "Red Skins" or "filthy Savages".

After years of war, slavery and disease, the natives were pretty much forced to live on reserves. Children were tooken away to resident school to learn to be english and pretty much a big part of the next generation lost their culture.

The welfare checks are pretty much a way of apologizing, as well as free school, to ensure
were educated and live a healthy normal.

I too have a bit of Native American blood in me too. (but mostly Scottish) Cherokee if I'm not mistaken but like Nephy I know next to nothing about them. And thats a bad thing in my opinion. Need to hit the books.
